For Toscana Aeroporti, sustainability is a strategic driver in the creation of long-lasting, shared value. It represents a concrete commitment that drives the continuous evolution of our management model and inspires actions that create positive impacts on the environment, people, and the communities where we operate.
Our road towards sustainability is shaped through the Integrated Plan, the tool that allows us to combine the goal of producing value for stakeholders with the value of sustainable development for the community and environment.
The Plan is supported by a process of structured and transparent monitoring, allowing us to assess the progress of the projects and guide future strategies.
Toscana Aeroporti’s actions are developed along five strategic pillars that represent the guidelines on which our commitment to sustainability is organised:
We develop the airport infrastructure while minimising the environmental impact. The major works earmarked for Florence and Pisa are designed as drivers to combine growth and the reduction of emissions.
We aim for operational excellence with high standards of safety, security and quality of services. The optimisation of the operation makes a significant contribution to our environmental and social goals.
We focus on the passenger experience to constantly improve services with increasing attention paid to sustainability in our strategic and operational choices.
Our people are a key part of the change. We invest in training, talent development, and well-being to foster an increasingly innovative and responsible corporate culture.
We cultivate a strong bond with local communities, promoting cultural, social and environmental initiatives that generate shared value and reinforce the role of the airport in the region.
