Toscana Aeroporti acknowledges the importance of continuous dialogue with all parties operating within and around the airport system. Engaging stakeholders means listening to diverse perspectives, building shared improvement paths, and ensuring that decisions take into account their social, environmental, and economic impacts.

This participatory approach is a key component of our sustainability strategy and plays a central role in managing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, particularly those classified as Scope 3.

Scope 3 emissions represent the largest and most complex portion of an airport’s carbon footprint. They include indirect emissions generated across the value chain—such as employee commuting, passenger transport to and from the airport, airline operations, supply chain activities, and waste management.

To address these challenges effectively, Toscana Aeroporti has launched a structured stakeholder engagement process based on listening, transparency, and collaboration.

The goal is to support a collective shift toward more sustainable mobility by encouraging behaviors and solutions that can contribute to meaningful emissions reduction.
